Anjali, Mark, and I all went snowshoeing for the first time today. Love it! We went to Botteneau Park in NE Mpls and had a wonderful naturalist named Kristy all to ourselves for an hour of playing outside. We made the first footprints in last night's new snow, climbed ice piles, found helicopter seeds, and watched the clouds float by in the blue, blue sky laying on a picnic table. So easy to do which is a pleasant surprise after trying skiing and skating many years ago.
So, if anyone wants to go float around Wirth Park, looking for tracks and birds, let us know. We're all there.

ReplyDeleteThere are dozens of parks in Mpls and it just so happened that the snowshoeing was a Botteneau today- usually isn't. From what the teacher said, Wirth usually does have snowshoeing. Plus it's this giant, wooded park instead of 2 blocks, playground, and field park. I'm going to double-check and I hope to go regularly this winter. Let me know if you'd like to try. Heck, there may even be something closer to you at a state park for example.
Love Botteneau because it's near a favorite cafe(and my favorite pizza spot.) We'll have to chat next time you're heading that direction!
